There is something about Sunday.
The week ahead hasn’t started yet. The house is quieter. For once, there is no reason to rush through your skincare in ninety seconds with one eye on the clock.
This is the day I tell my clients to slow down — and to give their skin something more deliberate than the usual rushed routine.
Morning or evening, whichever hour is actually yours. Some of my clients do this with coffee before the house wakes up. Others do it at the end of the day as a way of closing the weekend. Both work. What matters is that the time is unhurried, not what the clock says.
Five steps. Maybe thirty minutes, most of which you spend doing nothing at all while a masque works. It is the single highest-return half hour in your week, and your skin will show it by Tuesday.
Here is the ritual, in order.
Step One — Prep and Resurface
Danucera D22 Tonic — Exfoliating Face Toner
After cleansing, this is where the ritual actually begins.
D22 Tonic is an exfoliating toner, and the reason it comes first is simple: everything you apply after it will work better. A gentle resurfacing step lifts away the dulling layer of dead cells that has accumulated over the week, which means the serums and treatments that follow can reach the skin instead of sitting on top of it.
Saturate it over your face, pat it into your face neck and dec. Do not rush this part — give it a full minute.

Step Two — Treat
Environ Tri Bio-Botanical Revival Masque
This is the centerpiece of the ritual, and the reason it belongs on a Sunday rather than a Tuesday: it asks for time.
Apply an even layer and then genuinely leave it alone. Put your phone down. This is the part of the routine where doing nothing is the work.
A treatment masque once a week does more for the skin than a rushed daily routine ever will, because it gives active ingredients an uninterrupted window to do something meaningful. Rinse thoroughly when time is up.

Step Three — The Vitamin A Step
Environ C-Quence Serum
If there is one product in this routine that changes skin over the long term, it is this one.
C-Quence is a vitamin A and peptide serum, and it is built as a progressive system — which is the part most people miss. You begin at Serum 1 and step up only when your skin has adapted. That patience is the entire point. Vitamin A rewards consistency and punishes impatience.
Apply to clean, dry skin after the masque has been rinsed and the skin is fully dry.
- C-Quence Serum 1 — $138 · where everyone begins
- C-Quence Serum 2 — $142
- C-Quence Serum 3 — $150
- C-Quence Serum 4 — $160
If you are unsure which level your skin is ready for, ask me at your next appointment. It is not a guess worth making on your own.
If you are doing this in the morning: finish here, and follow with your usual daytime moisturizer and — without exception — a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Vitamin A and freshly resurfaced skin both make sun protection non-negotiable. Steps four and five then become your bedtime routine that same night.
Step Four — Night Treatment
Malachite Night Serience
Your skin does its most important repair work overnight, and this step is built for that window specifically — which is why it stays at bedtime regardless of when you started.
If you did the first three steps this evening, simply continue. If you did them this morning, this is where you pick the ritual back up before bed.
$94
Step Five — Seal It In
Danucera Cream Supreme — Firming Face Cream with Peptides
The final step, and the one that protects everything underneath it.
Cream Supreme is a firming cream formulated with peptides, and its job here is twofold: it supports firmness in its own right, and it seals the steps beneath it so nothing evaporates off your face while you sleep.
Apply generously. This is not a night to be frugal with your moisturizer.
$225
Two Ways to Run It
Both work. Choose the one that fits your Sunday:
The Sunday Evening version — all five steps in one sitting, finishing just before bed. Simplest, and the one most of my clients settle into.
The Sunday Morning version — steps one through three with your coffee, followed by moisturizer and SPF. Then steps four and five that night as your normal bedtime routine. Good if mornings are genuinely your quietest hour, and it spreads the ritual across the day rather than asking for thirty unbroken minutes at the end of it.
The only rule: the night treatment and the sealing cream stay at night. That is not preference, it is what those two products are formulated for.
Why This Order
The sequence is not arbitrary. Each step is built to make the next one work harder:
- Resurface so that what follows can penetrate
- Treat while the skin is most receptive
- Vitamin A on clean, dry, prepared skin
- Night treatment to support overnight repair
- Seal so none of it goes to waste
And Sunday because this routine needs something a weekday cannot give it — unhurried time. Skin responds to repetition, not urgency. One deliberate day a week, repeated consistently, will outperform an ambitious routine you abandon by Thursday.
That is the whole philosophy, really. Not more products. Better timing, and the patience to let them work.
A Note on Making This Yours
This is the version of the ritual I recommend most often, but your skin is not everyone’s skin. If you are in the middle of a treatment series, healing from a peel or microchanneling, or working through active breakouts or sensitivity, some of these steps should be adjusted or paused entirely.
Bring it up at your next visit and we will build the version that fits where your skin actually is. If you would like me to look at your routine as a whole, that is exactly what a facial consultation in Newport Beach is for.
